His parents taught him in the hidden pantry of their palace all the secrets of the holy faith, telling him all about the Lord Jesus Christ and about the mercy for the poor, committed goodness those who needed. And so Dimitrie knew the truth due to his parents, but, especially the gift of God began to work in him. And the young was growing with years and wisdom, like climbing a ladder of power in St. Dimitrieputere. November 8, 2013
The synod of the St. Mihail and St. Gavriil Archangels is commemorated on November 8. Saints Mihail and Gavriil are the ones who carry out the commandment of God's mercy and justice.
St. Mihail is represented in iconography in soldier clothes, having in hand a flaming sword. Is named by God that his justice will defeat the history of salvation. He is the one who, in the moment that an angel fallen down cried "Let us stand well, stand with fear, be careful," restoring the order. According to tradition, at the judgment that is at end of this world the dead shall rise at his clarion voice .
Archangel Gavriil is the bearer of divine mercy for people. He proclaimed that the Son of God will incarnate of the Virgin Mary for the salvation of the human race.
In the icon he appears in priestly robes, carrying in hand or a lily, sign that is good news, or a sphere with the insignia of Christ, showing that he is the messenger of salvation of humanity.
St. Archangels Mihail and Gavriil, which the Orthodox Church celebrates on November 8, are spiritual patrons of Romanian Gendarmerie. Romanian Gendarmerie reason of choosing St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel to protect them is that the two leaders of the heavenly hosts are symbols of the fight against evil.

St. Grigorie Decapolitul
About this saint is known that he was born in the year 780, in Asia Minor, and raised in Isauria in one of the ten cities that is called Irinopolis from faithful parents Serghie and Maria, among the time of fighters against sacred icons under the reign of Leon Armeanul (813-820).
When he reached the adult age, his parents were preparing to marry him, but he separated from the worldly things, and left to a monastery, where he was abbot of St. Simeon the Confessor, his maternal uncle. Grigorie lived in the monastery 14 years. He walked from place to place, in the middle of the faithful people form villages and cities - Ephesus, Enos , Hrisopolis , Corinth , reaching Rome. Then he arrived in Syracuse Sicily and St. Mina church in Thessalonica, where he received the gift of the priesthood. He went to Byzantium and finally he arrived to Mount Olympus. During this time he made a lot of miracles. But when he arrived in the mountain he was ill and knew that the end was near. Then he went to Constantinople, where his uncle Simon was locked up in prison and worshiping to him, he died in peace (November 20 year- 842). Even today, His body has not rotted, it turned out bearing great gifts.
In 1497, Banul Barbu Craiovescu, which rebuilt the foundation of Bistrita Monastery, brought the great relics of St. Grigorie Decapolitul and placed them at the monastery where he is today, being miraculous for bodily diseases and for the soul.

Entering of Mother God
Called by people also the Vovidenia or Odovenia is celebrated on 21 November, in the memory of the day when, according to tradition, Saint Ioachim and Ana brought their daughter, Maria, when he had three years, at the temple, where she remained until the age of 14 or 15 years, as one who, even before birth, God had meant her for her parents. This day is the first day of Christmas lent in which we can eat fish.
The entrance of Mother of God in the church is the newest of the Mother of God holidays and was of Judaic origin. She was born in the sixth century. On 20 November 543, emperor Justinian built in Jerusalem near the ruins of the temple, a church dedicated to the Mother of God that, unlike the old one, it was called the church of St. Mary, “the new " .

St. Andrei the First-Called - Protector of Romania
St. Andrew, the first called to confess, was the son of Iona the Jew and brother of St. Peter the Apostle. He was first a disciple of Ioan, the Baptist and he follows the Lord without hesitation, confessing with joy and his brother: " I have found that Jesus of Nazareth." After Ascension, fate decided that Andrei would go to confess the faith in the parts of Greece, the Black Sea and the Danube. And thus he reached our land, proclaiming to geto-dacians the word of salvation leaving many traces of its passage through Dobrogea, including the famous Cave of St. Andrei, where during the time has flourished many churches and religious hearth.
It can be said that for us Christianity has ancient and apostolic reasons, and St. Andrei is rightly considered the patron saint of Romania. The people gave him the name Sântandrei and his name has been linked to many traditions, some unrelated to the church, but rather contaminated by certain pre-Christian reminiscences, such as that one related to wolves (to which St. Andrei would be a kind of guide) and the werewolves (which would haunt the night before his feast) .
