Anthropogenic Resources

Anthropic resources have a worthy tourist interest, including archaeological monuments, archaeological sites, monuments, architectural ensembles and reservations, monuments and memorial complexes, settlements and historical and cultural relics of great price. Special value of the dowry property is offered by:

Diocese of Ramnic which includes a major architectural complex built in XVII – XIX century, in Byzantine style and Italian realism style, being included in the list of historical monuments of national value, representative for Romania.

The chain of monasteries and churches in the Valcea County was built by Wallachian “voievozi” and represent a serious reason for "local" pride, of an exceptional national and international interest. A clear proof are all 13 monasteries, 272 churches and 22 convents - patrimonial dowry of impressive value which rank Valcea on a Second place in the country within the monastic establishments.

Archaeological components - sites, monuments and archaeological reservations.

In these categories we can include Buridava Dacian fortress and the Roman camp Arutela, located on the famous "Calea lui Traian"; Roman camp "La Canton" - located in the village Daesti and the camp from Titeşti-Perişani, which date from the first centuries of the 1st millennium.
